What is Loban?
Loban is the dark fragrant balsamic resin obtained from certain species of trees. Loban on its own are always as a crystal and are often burned in places of worship either in temples, houses or different mosques depending on the location.
When swiped on skin, the aroma would be enough to fill an entire room. There is something in loban and all other resin that they share in common in terms of aroma which is hard to explain but resinous is a word i would use to describe this. It would start of as a gooey toffee sugary burnt caramel aroma ( i know that's a lot to describe one scent XD) which would settle down to somewhere woody and caramel with spicy base-note. The dry-down of the attar is one of the best where different woods come and mingle with all the different sweetness. Its simple yet showcases itself to be somewhere more complex. There are many different nuances that can be experience depending on skin chemistry. On my wife's skin, this appears more chocolatey and on my caramel so there is effeminately a lot going on in the background of this scent.
